Investments in worker wellbeing can drive competitiveness in the global marketplace.

How can my business stay competitive in an increasingly challenging global economy laden with volatile labor markets, shifting demand, and rapidly changing regulations? From our work with firms across India, Latin America, and the US, we have observed this common concern that keeps business leaders up at night. Faced with this competitive pressure, firms often view investments in ESG as an obligatory must-do, rather than an ROI-positive strategy. To unpack the other side of this discussion with evidence, case studies, and our own research, supported by large foundations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we are organizing The Good Business Forum: Redesigning the Bottom Line, on Monday, August 5th, at the Bangalore International Centre. This event will highlight how social impact agendas can drive positive business outcomes and demonstrate how investments in worker wellbeing can drive competitiveness in the global marketplace. One tentpole issue for GBL, which will be explored in detail, is gender equity in the supply chains. Redesigning the Bottom Line will provide insights on how focusing on gender equity can have an outsized impact on worker wellbeing, productivity, wages, and on the firm’s bottom line. The day long event will host four panels listed below:

Here is an event rundown:
